At Devon’s Tractor Parts, we’re excited to feature another incredible restoration: a Farmall B lovingly restored by Mike from Joe's Autobody Tractor (Our Other Business). This special project holds sentimental value as a family heirloom, earning the nickname "Grandpa's Grandkid Cruiser." With unique modifications to accommodate grandkids and a touch of nostalgia, this tractor is now ready to shine at shows and return to the farm.
This Farmall B arrived in rough condition after sitting idle for many years. While the engine still ran, it needed serious repairs, including new gaskets, carburetor work, and attention to the Magneto system. Mike and his team undertook the challenge of restoring it with the goal of preserving its historical significance while making some practical modifications for family use.
The crowning touch of this restoration is the little buddy seat installed for Grandpa’s grandkids to ride along. Inspired by modifications seen at other tractor shows, this seat was crafted using parts from another Farmall B. It bolts up seamlessly, allowing for easy family outings. This modification transforms the tractor into a fun and functional piece of family history.
This beautifully restored Farmall B will make its public debut at the WPS Farm Show in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, in March. Be sure to stop by and see “Grandpa’s Grandkid Cruiser” in person, a perfect blend of vintage charm and modern family fun.
Mike and his team are proud of how this restoration turned out, combining the nostalgia of a classic Farmall B with the practicality of modern updates. From the custom buddy seat to the rebuilt engine, every detail reflects a labor of love and dedication to preserving family heritage.
